BIVER AUTOMATIQUE CLOUS DE PARIS

The Automatique Clous de Paris reinterprets the classic watchmaking art of guillochéin a contemporary and unexpected way, lending dynamism and depth to this three-hand watch.

For the first time, the Automatique is home to a guilloché dial. But not an ordinary one. The 18k white gold dial receives a rich blue color treatment before being sunray brushed to make it even more captivating. The middle sector features “progressive” Clous de Paris guilloché that tapers in size from the outer edge to the inner one, further drawing the eye in. The engraving is done on 100-year-old machines and takes countless hours to create.

Calibre JCB-003 is a brand new movement designed from the ground up specifically for the Automatique, with micro-rotor and hand winding, a zero-reset mechanism, and new styles of decoration. It was engineered to be able to drive additional complications in the future and was developed in partnership with Dubois Depraz.

In addition to Rustico Nubuck Calf strap, a matching platinum bracelet is available to pair with this watch. Designed specifically to complement Biver watches, the bracelet’s faceted links extend the geometry of the Automatique case, with the same mix of brushed and polished finishes, too. It is crafted to the same high standards as our watches, with each solid platinum bracelet containing over 300 individual components and requiring 150 hours to make.
