An extremely rare stone, Lavender Jade has historically been associated with royalty, good fortune, and inner peace. Paired with a platinum case, it gives the Automatique an unique look. The blush-colored stone has a subtle texture and is slightly translucent, acting as a perfect foundation for the applied chemin de fer and the finely finished white gold hands.
The green varieties of jade might be the most well-known, but Lavender Jade and its pinkish-purple tones has been prized for thousands of years and has been used in jewellery and craft making around the world. The stone has a fine grain to it that can be almost invisible at certain angles, and its slightly translucent surface adds a touch of intrigue. The subtle addition of 13 baguette-cut diamonds for the hour markers adds a bit of sparkle without overshadowing the beauty of the jade itself.
Calibre JCB-003 is a brand new movement designed from the ground up specifically for the Automatique, with micro-rotor and hand winding, a zero-reset mechanism, and new styles of decoration. It was engineered to be able to drive additional complications in the future and was developed in partnership with Dubois Depraz.
Combining hard stones and gemstones might be unorthodox, but when done with finesse and restraint it can produce startling effects. The 13 baguette-cut diamond hour markers are set across the white gold chemin de fer, adding another dimension to the Automatique dial and subtly reflecting the blush-colored surface of the Lavender Jade itself.
